As Kerrville residents for more than 49 years, the Hise family brings deep local roots and a genuine understanding of the Texas Hill Country to every project. We don’t just build homes here — we live here, raise our families here, and take immense pride in the communities we help shape.
From operating the popular Choke Canyon Lake hotel and steakhouse (sold to Texas Rangers legend Nolan Ryan in 1992) to running a thriving boat marina, the family has spent over 50 years building strong reputations through hard work, integrity, and outstanding customer service. That same dedication now fuels Scenic Valley Homes.

With a lifelong passion for business (and golf!), Gary leads Scenic Valley Homes with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. His commitment to doing things the right way has earned the company a reputation for honesty and integrity throughout the Hill Country.
Linda Hise
Vice President
Linda oversees the business operations. Known for her attention to detail, she ensures every customer feels supported throughout the entire building process — from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.
Michael Hise
General Contractor
Michael, a graduate of both Tivy High School and San Angelo State, is the driving force behind every project. As the on-site General Contractor, he personally supervises every home daily, working closely with subcontractors and ensuring every detail meets Scenic Valley Homes’ strict quality standards. His practical expertise and problem-solving skills are key to delivering exceptional results.
